Time to cleanse the house

Have you ever had the feeling in your home in which the air felt heavy and depressing? I had that recently and had to get rid of it with the quickness.

To do a full cleansing there are several steps. First, make sure to do the dishes, wipe the counters, dust, sweep, vacuum and mop. Do whatever you need to do in order to have your home in order. This include laundry washed, dried and put away.

Next you want to get incense or a smudge stick, holy and or blessed water and salt. Add three pinches of salt into water and stir clockwise. Put these on the side while you open all inside doors, drawers and unblock all corners, mirrors, reflective surfaces, drains and vents.

In a clockwise manner, start at the front door and splash a little water on the door then proceeding to each and every corner, window, reflective surfaces, vents, drains, drawers, closets and mirrors.

When this task is completed it is time for the incense or smudge stick. I prefer to use white sage sticks where you may prefer Blessing incense or a cedar smudge stick. Whatever you decide, start once again at the front door and work your way around your home. Let the smoke get into all the corners and surround all the doors and windows.

It is also good to pick a talisman. You will use this at all doors and windows. Draw it over the door with the smoke. For the doors you want to pinch inward for positive energies to come in and punch out at windows for negative energies to go out.

Once all is completed close all doors and drawers. Put everything away and take a bath or shower. As the water washes over you see it going down the drain into the earth. Let the earth take away all the negative energies and turn it over. I like to envision flowers growing and blooming. Afterwards you should feel a significant change in the energies around you.
